Here is an article from quackwatch.org

The Bottom Line: Chondroitin appears to be useless. Whether glucosamine is useful is conflicting, but the best-designed studies are negative. This usually means that negative evidence will eventually prevail. Decisions to use glucosamine must be based on information that is less complete than is desirable. In addition, product quality control may be a significant problem

An article from medscape on turmeric

Initial results showed that a version of turmeric extract that was free of essential oils had a significant impact on arthritis and most closely matched the composition of commercially available supplements. This version was used in subsequent experiments and was shown to prevent acute and chronic arthritis, even when it was administered after arthritis had been induced. In addition, turmeric significantly inhibited joint destruction due to arthritis, and inhibited NF-´┐ŻB, a protein that controls the gene expression of substances that produce an inflammatory response. Turmeric also altered the expression of hundreds of genes involved in joint swelling and destruction and prevented an increase in osteoclasts (cells that break down bone) in joints.

According to Dr. Sally Frautschy, PhD, another leading UCLA Alzheimer?s researcher, each 900 mg capsule is roughly equivalent to eating about five curry dinners. To get good absorption, which is a problem with this supplement, you should take each capsule with a meal or drink that has milk, plant, or animal fat in it, or take it with your daily fish oil supplement.

Although many pre-clinical studies suggest that curcumin may be useful for the prevention and treatment of several diseases, the effectiveness of curcumin has not yet been demonstrated in randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind clinical trials

take three pills a day. Each seem to be 1400mg. However how much of it is curcunium, I dont know.

3 days, still Nada.

Very disappointing. But again this is not a scientific conclusion. But clearly the picture is not rosy as they seem to paint.

Aspirin still works the best, and rest (an unaffordable luxury)
