I had to reinstall 32 bit version of java

On my machine there are already every possible version of java (a bit of an exaggeration, but many). I couldn't find a way to tell the 32bit ie how to pick the right version to run applets

To quickly resolve it I reinstalled the 32 bit java version from java.com. This seemed to work.
